STEPS IN THE BALCONY INSPECTION PROCESS:
1) PROVIDE ALL PROPERTY INFORMATION, INCLUDING ADDRESS, NUMBER
OF BUILDINGS, AND NUMBER OF ELEVATED EXTERIOR ELEMENTS.
(PERTINENT INFORMATION INCLUDES IF SOFFITING IS PRESENT OR IF
FRAMING IS READILY ACCESSIBLE.)
Exterior Elevated Elements (EEEs) are balconies, decks, porches, stairways,
walkways, and entry structures extending beyond a building's exterior walls,
with a walking surface over six feet high, designed for human use, and relying
substantially on wood or wood products for structural support.
2) RECEIPT OF QUOTE

3) SCHEDULING OF INSPECTIONS AND SIGNING OF CONTRACT. A NON-
REFUNDABLE 50% DEPOSIT WILL BE REQUIRED IN ORDER FOR THE

INSPECTIONS TO BE PERFORMED. Remaining 50% due upon issuance of
reports.
4) NOTE: During the initial inspection, should the EEE’s be deemed in need of
structural repairs, in lieu of performing the original requested balcony
inspection, it will be recommended that a limited WDO inspection/ report be
performed, listing all recommendations for necessary repairs or corrections
to satisfy the requirements of the SB-721 Balcony Law. (This inspection will
be performed by Streamline Inspections. Additional charges will apply if
subsequent site visits are necessary.) Property owner and/ or authorized
agent will be notified prior, and confirmation will be required before
commencing with the limited WDO inspection in lieu of the Sb-721
inspection.

5) NOTE: If concerns are already present prior to the initial SB-721
inspection, it is in the client’s best interest to have a structural pest
control company perform a limited inspection to all EEEs prior to having
the SB-721 Balcony Inspection performed. As your Balcony Inspection
Company, we will review any pre-performed pest inspections at no
additional cost and help facilitate the next steps in the process.
